Although Barcelona has yet to make an official offer to the Galatasaray star, rumours suggest that the player will be heading to Camp Nou.

According to the sports economics platform Sportseconomics.ir, citing Tasnim, two Turkish sports journalists have reignited speculation about Galatasaray midfielder Alexey Batyrakov’s potential move to Barcelona, following comments on his abilities. Sinan Engin believes Batyrakov’s playing style closely resembles that of Real Madrid’s Arda Güler, and that Barcelona could secure his services by triggering his €55 million release clause.

During an episode of the sports show "Asist Analiz," Arda On and Sinan Engin discussed the possibility of Batyrakov joining Barcelona. On initially questioned whether the Spanish club would be willing to pursue the Russian midfielder. Engin responded by comparing Batyrakov to Arda Güler, noting that the key difference between the two players lies in their dominant foot.

The Turkish analyst added, "Batyrakov is similar to Arda Güler. While Güler is left-footed, Batyrakov plays with his right foot."

Later in the discussion, Arda On mentioned Batyrakov’s €55 million release clause. Engin emphasized Barcelona’s financial capacity to meet this amount, stating that the Catalan club could sign the Russian player by activating the clause.

These comments come amid growing reports of interest from major European clubs in Batyrakov’s performances. The Spanish newspaper "Sport" previously reported that Barcelona scouts were monitoring the player. However, according to published reports, no formal negotiations or concrete offers have yet been made by the Spanish club.

Batyrakov, who joined Galatasaray from Lokomotiv Moscow in the summer of 2026, has already made a significant impact in his first season in Turkish football. His attacking prowess, playmaking skills, and ability to create goal-scoring opportunities have linked him to several top European clubs.

According to reports in Russian and Turkish media, Batyrakov’s release clause is set at €55 million—a figure that could prove decisive in his future if interest from clubs intensifies. Some reports also suggest that clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and several English Premier League teams are interested in the midfielder.

Batyrakov’s contract with Galatasaray runs until the summer of 2031, and his market value is estimated at around €28 million, according to Transfermarkt. This means his release clause is significantly higher than his estimated market value.

Despite speculation about his future, it remains unclear whether Barcelona will attempt to sign him in the upcoming transfer window. What is certain, however, is Batyrakov’s impressive performances for Galatasaray and the growing media attention surrounding the Russian player’s future.

End of message.
